Next month, Acura will be hosting a complimentary car corral at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for the ISMA race weekend, September 13-15. As a thank-you from Acura, owners who register for the corral will receive two general admission weekend tickets along with one parking pass to the event, all at no cost to you.
Throughout the weekend corral members will have access to exclusive Acura Motorsports experiences, like driver meet & greets and garage tours. This is a great opportunity to see Acura Motorsports, with their pair of NSX GT3 Evos and Prototype ARX-05s, up close and personal!
To register: e-mail Kyle Ginty (me) at kginty@chargegf.com with the following information: - name - phone - e-mail - Acura model & year - mailing address (for tickets)
This event is open to ALL Acura models, feel free to pass along to other Acura owners. Spots will fill up, so RSVP soon! Thanks!
Hi all,
I just purchased a Progress RSB for my 07 TL Type S. I removed the factory bar, and when trying to install the new bar, it seems literally impossible to line up the new bar with the old mounting points. I have no idea what to do, and am at my end. Does anyone know if I have to drill, and if so, where? Because the brackets are too large to fit across the frame if i were to drill into that. The installation instructions said nothing about this.
Yes, i did buy the right part. (62.0110) Thank you for any advice you may have.
Wondering if A-Spec owners have replaced the (shitty) Goodyears with better tires and how they are finding the improvement? I wasn't able to get my dealer to swap the tires for me (even if I was willing to pay for part of it) and now am debating if I ride it out or swap them now. I'm not driving a lot so it could be years before I wear them out and I drive in a wet environment so something like a set of Michelins or Continental would be much better but curious to know how much better it's been for people who swapped out the tires already.
Wife was driving it when the message "Transmission System Problem. Paddle Shifters Not Available. See Your Dealer." appeared. Don't know the details of "how" she was driving when the error appeared (speed, acceleration, gear, etc) as she was headed out of town and haven't had the chance to ask her yet. She did say the car wouldn't do over 45 mph, so I'm assuming it went into limp-home mode. I do see from her picture that it changed to Sport mode, which is odd, as she always drives in Comfort. I also know she doesn't use the paddle shifters, so those definitely weren't the trigger.
She "limped" it to the dealer, and they gave her a loaner. Dealer has had the car for two days so far, but they haven't told me anything yet.
When it gets sorted out, I'll post the results of what the dealer did ... but posting this now just in case others have had this happen to them.
. Feeling These head light but not wanting to spend 700 bucks on em might experiment with opening some used ones by opening them and painting em or something I seen a YouTube video about baking them lool... please I'm open for suggestions
Seems to only happen when after the car has driven for 30 or more minutes. Creeking noise is hard to identify exactly which area its coming from. Steering feels extremely tight but I expect that from what I have read. Only had the car for a few weeks.
Hey guys,
so picked up a replacement rear view mirror because the idoit previous owner tried to tint the current one and failed horribly. Any ideas how I can replace just the mirror and put on the replacement? Can I pop out the original and put in the new one? This is the current one. This is the replacement Can I take out the moveable ball? And replace the crappy one with the new one..well pop out the mirror itself from the ball.
Was curious if anyone has tried this yet or knows if the new bumpers will line up to our older models (my 17 for example) I assume some modification may be needed.
My wife is taking a course where she was asked to pull together a survey to gather some information on a topic of interest (of course she chose cars). Because she was trying to keep it quick we concentrated the questions on reasons one might purchase a used lux vehicle (what's important to you, the consumer, when looking at a used vehicle). Her focus was primarily on the German 3 (don't shoot the messenger here) but that is less relevant than what folks consider important in the process. if you can, please take a look and fill it out. Should only take a few minutes. Any and all support is greatly appreciated!
As the title states, I'm flirting with the idea of finding a replacement Nighthawk Black Pearl trunk lid for my 2005 Acura TL.
The previous owner used it year-round and my trunk has started to form a rust bubble. Thanks Michigan :yuck:
As of late, I only drive my TL during "car season" and have made this into my project car. Rather than trying to fix the trunk lid, I'm looking to find a replacement. Obviously, I'm looking for a trunk lid with no rust and one that is in good condition. If you have a new (unpainted) or used (NBP) one, please let me know. I'd also be willing to consider other color options too. I may be purchasing an ATLP trunk lid spoiler, so I would paint both items at the same time.
At this time, I"m not looking to buy an aftermarket carbon fiber version from EndlessRPM, so please don't suggest this lol.
So after my old radiator had a crack at the top,I changed out my radiator, upper and lower radiator hoses, thermostat, and both fans. These are all oem parts too. I tried to bleed out the system of any air, checked the hoses to make sure they were on correctly, and even checked the mounting of the radiator and it all seems fine. The one problem is getting temperature readings from my temperature gauge. I'm unsure of what to do to help fix this besides changing the sensor. I also drive a 2002 base model since i know the 99 models and type s differ in some ways. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I'm looking to replace the exhaust system I want to get rid of one Muffler and I want to leave the others I don't want to go full on straight pipe but I want to know did anybody buy this or is there a better option out there?
Video shows the before and after J-Pipe installation. To me, the sound is still relatively the same, although my friends have all said it is now deeper (maybe I am getting deaf lol). This video is also good for those who want to know how would a "full EndlessRPM set-up" sound minus the test-pipe/high-flow 3rd cat.
