Opinions sought re: what sale price I can get for my car.

Don't know which subforum this can be discussed on so will try here.
If this is the wrong sub, mod please move it to the correct subforum. Thank you.

I have a 2009 TL with the GPS package.
62.5k miles. The standard drive. Perfect maintenance.
In very good/excellent physical appearance - will have it buffed and detailed before listing it to deal with clear coat scratches, etc.
The drivers seat cover is separating barely on the seat, left and right rear corners. (I.e., I see a thin line of white showing).
Can take pictures and show that, as well as the car if desired.

Currently the dealership service told me I should change the drive belt, as I am in a hot climate (NV) and they recommended that at 60k miles.
Will alert buyers to this fact, and let the new owner deal with that as they see fit.
Everything else is fine (and as far as I know, the drive belt is fine. At least, no problems with it while driving that I can discern).

Interested in opinions as to what price I can get for this.

Thank you.

Well it has happened to me got my first crack in the dash were the passenger airbag is. I've been accumulating parts to install (roof spoiler, aftermarket headlights harvested talk here, replaced the curb crashed waffles with new ones, was about to get new leather for the seats and the custom steering wheel but now not sure. I am one of those that likes my things looking good and that crack is well you know. I went to acura poem parts (Del ray acura) and the price of the dash almost doubled now over a thousand dollars, you would think since our cars are over ten years old and the manufacturer is not making these parts anymore they would want to get rid of inventory but instead they raised the price. Now having previously worked at a Chrysler dodge jeep dealership what they did with obsolescence parts was damage them and dump them in the dumpster as a right off which sucks for the individuals that need parts not sure if acura does the same but by raising the price that dramatically it sure sounds like they do. Now I'm at a crossroad with my type s dash way overpriced from previous cost dash pads ugly and the overlay well doesn't fit the same (speaker holes more sunk in. It may be time to part ways....

From a TL to an RDX? Interior Size?

Have had my 2007 TL since 2012 and considering making the jump to a different vehicle. I went to a lot recently to just sit in a bunch of cars and wow, most 4 door sedans felt so compact compared to my TL. I'm 6' tall and felt like many of these vehicles were very tight and my head almost hit the roof whereas, I feel quite spacious and comfortable in my TL.

I had an SUV prior and am thinking about checking out the RDX. I don't have a real need for the size of an MDX and the RDX seems to be a good potential solutions from Acura. From an interior sizing perspective, how does the RDX compare to a TL?

Drivers Memory Position

Do any of you have drivers memory position failure to move? My 2018 Tech has a nearly consistant error, the stearing wheel fails to move into position. After about 30 days in the shop the dealer has finally been able to escilate the issue to engineering. I also found one of the dealer loaners has the same problem. If anyone has experienced this problem even once notify your dealer, start the process. I susp3ct this problem is far more wide spread than Acura wants to admit. And the only way to get it addressed is complaints.

fluid cross-contamination

I changed transfer case fluid on my wife's RDX today. I used the same transfer pump that I used a year ago to do the rear differential.I doubt there is much left in the pump itself after a year, but just in general, is there a danger of using the same pump for 2 different fluids? Do people clean it afterwards and if they do, then with what?

I also used a new funnel for transmission fluid change, should I designate it as transmission funnel going forward? I feel like using it for regular engine oil would be a problem...

Is it at all possible and compatible to swap radios between the 2006-2007 without the radio straight up not working? The look on the 2007 just looks so much better than the 2006. I'm planning on switching the guage cluster to the 2007 year as well. If anyone has info or if theres threads on this please share! (Yes I looked for the threads regarding this but only found the guage cluster swap)

Anybody get this message and know what it may mean. "Emissions System Problem. Power May be Reduced. See your dealer."
2020 Tech with 720 miles on it.
Had driven it about 5 miles and it came on after starting to go from a stop light.
And so it begins I guess.

Hello all. 2007 RL, roughly 195K on it. Recently it’s been acting sluggish on a recent vacation a few hundred miles away, As if you could feel the misfire ever so slightly. Thought it was bad gas, got fresh tank still did the same thing. Just recently threw the above codes, and it started misfiring more frequently. Checked the coils and determined they were good. I’ve heard some talk about the intake manifold getting clogged with debris and other possible causes, just looking to see if this is a common occurrence and where I should start. Thanks in advance.

Catalytic Converter Replacement Options & Emissions Error

My Front Cat is starting to go. The emissions light is on the I can hear it rattle. I have a couple questions hoping someone could help. The car is a 2005 with 190,000km on it..... Well maintained and drives great.

1. The shop wants $2200 to replace the front cat with an OEM parts. They simply said there is no cheap way to do this. I am assuming that is a bolt on Cat. Do I have any other options here? Are after market Cats any good?

2. Will there be any long term damage to either my engine or gas mileage driving with a busted cat? I think it is working at around 50-60 percent right now. No smells or anything.

Just bought 2004 tsx with high mileage

Hi guys! I'm new at this forum so hopefully you guys don't go too mean on me for asking questions...
I just bought a 2004 Tsx 5AT with 234k on, did fluid changes. One of my friend suggested me to do transmission flush by adding and draining few times. I just got done with second adding and my transmission is whining....
Well it's not grinding at all but whining also I can see when it's cold it doesn't want to shift fast but once it's warmed up, the car shifts okay no grinding or jerking. This noise is killing me.. does anyone have a good solution for this?
would it help if I change the filter?

Broken Keyfob?

So I'm breaking in my '05 TL and tested out the 2nd keyfob from the previous owner. The key works, but the keyfob part is dead (unlock, trunk etc). Not a big deal, the battery tests dead so I replace it. I figure it would work, but nope. Make sure my other keyfob still works, but the 2nd one appears to be dead. I tried the sync methods, and that's a no good. The LED light doesn't light up when pressing the button. I took it apart, and nothing appears broken - no corrosion or missing capacitors. The labels are worn off the but insides still click just fine.

Any ideas? Probably not that much that can be done, but I thought I'd ask. Is there a recommended replacement that I can get for cheap?

Intermittent hard miss at idle, recent VSA light

For several months, I have had an intermittent hard miss at idle
in my 2006 TL- worse when in gear, (drive or reverse) completely gone when some throttle given. Zero codes on OBD scanner, can fish up what came up with a Solus, but none appeared remotely related. Recently, the car ran rough when accelerating on one trip, and the VSA light came on- and haven’t had that type of issue lately but VSA stayed on.
Timing belt was done 20k miles ago, valve adjustment about 10k ago- but no problems at all until about 3-4K miles ago.
Engine mounts were done w/timing belt- and otherwise it runs fantastic.
I get 29mpg on long trips at 80mph, but the miss at idle- mostly in gear and at a stop- is driving me nuts.
I did replace the steering rack just before this happened, but drove it for a good 2 mo the with no issue. I’m checked all elec. connections, don’t see any falling off.
It is a hard miss-meaning almost like the engine is trying to cut off. I don’t believe it is coil related, as I never have a misfire code. I will try some new ones if needed, but the lack of a code, intermittent nature, and lack of oil down in the spark plug hole makes me believe that isn’t the case. Spark plugs were all new as of about 10k ago and I used NGK.
Many ideas are appreciated and I have no idea if the VSA is related.

Transmission whine when accelerating

So ever since I got my TL, theres been a whine from the transmission when accelerating, pitch changes with speed, not rpm. Also goes away when you coast. I changed trans fluid, which didn't help the noise but made the transmission shift a lot smoother. This seems to be super common on these cars but I cant really find the reason why. Hoping it doesn't mean a trans failure is on its way. Anyone know why?

B1 Service - is it necessary ?

Hi everyone, my 2019 RDX (mileage 6200) will have B1 service due soon. I did research to see what is B1, it is oil change, tire rotation and mostly inspections. I'm thinking are those inspections necessary since the car is still under warranty. The dealership asks for $150 plus tax for B1 service. Can I cut it down to only oil change. I dont think my tires need rotation neither since it has only 6k miles on it. Any recommend ?

Out of Warranty TC Replacement 2014 SH-AWD

Hey Acurazine,

I have had pretty good luck finding a lot of useful information on here and also about the 4G Tl torque converter issues so I figured that I would ask for an opinion as to what I should do.

My car has 139k miles and has been showing signs of a bad torque converter, although I have done a 3x3 flush and filter replacement at 75k and 110k.

I'd like to just get an idea if anyone has had an Out of warranty replacement for the TC or trans? I'm wondering what a good price for the job would be? If it must be performed at a dealer and If I would be better off just buying a replacement transmission (potentially with warranty).

I'm From CT if anyone has had a positive experience with any shops in the area that may be able to guide me, let me know!

DBW problem?

$

I am looking into a 2004 TL manual later today and wanted to understand if it has DBW and if there is going to be a throttle lag like the 07 TSX I used to own (and hated that part of it)? Have not driven a TL before and hoping DBW was added in the later years . Any fix for it? How does it compare to the TSX DBW? Thanks.

Lets have some positive news!

Hi all; Just came back from a weekend jaunt to the Catskills
My TLX/SH-AWD/A-SPEC, was phenomenal; 35.3 MPG; hard to beat for an aggressive 6 cylinder; averaging 70-75MPH
Still lovin' Apple CarPlay, for Waze, & Amazon Music, or ITunes
Nothing's perfect, but this car rocks

Thinking of getting a set to replace the base RDX rim. Would I be able to reuse the tire pressure sensor from the stock rims?

Also they have two different sizes. 19x8 +40 offset or 19x8.5 +35 offset. The latter might be stick out too much. I believe stock is 19x8 +50 offset.

Opinion?
