Howdy, all -- took favorite-car-of-my-life in for B13 service, today, and the nice service folks informed me that, on top of the relatively inexpensive B13 service (@ $300), that my rear magnetic shocks were leaking, needed replacement, and, that my timing belt should be serviced. Shocks are @ $800/ea for parts, only; and timing belt service is @ $1100. Car has been flawless with only routine ma intenance since I bought it new from servicing dealership in 2007. Am happy to pay the $3500+ bill, as I've had zero problems from the car, with some strong confidence it'll go another 100k, or, so.
1. Any thoughts on the prices quoted?
2. Any comparables for service experience from other owners of MDX of same vintage?
3. What other preemptive repairs might one consider/expect?
Am fastidious maintainer, have rarely taken it off pavement, want to keep it (even if I buy a new one). Thanks, much!
