My plans are quite simple.
Was thinking about the intake, and for this type of vehicle, the induction noise is not for me. If it looked as snazzy as the APR units for the S3 and GTI, I probably would. :yum:
Went to order an AFE Pro-Dry S airfilter. To my dismay, they do not make one. I did send them an email to be see if they'd consider making one. I would not hold my breath.Checked to see if AEM made one of their panel filters for the RDX. I have been running them in my AMG, off and on with the AFE's. Both great filters. Alas, strike 2.K&N drop in it is. Ordered that, and is now in my possession.
From my research, it looks like the Factory BPV can be swapped out for a Mazdaspeed3 unit. So I am hunting for a Forge Gen 1 Black BPV. Hopefully it is a direct fit, and I can fit it without trimming the shroud. If I have to trim, I am going to look for a spare shroud. My question, is this truly a direct swap?
Hondata tune. Was thinking about just getting the flash, but will likely get the Flashpro just in case. Not sure if there are reputable Honda/Acura tuners in my area. Spent most my last few years with SRT-4s and AMGs. If I get protune, I will add larger injectors.
On on the fence for the ETS intercooler, while I love it fits within the factory shroud, 850 seems steep for me. Has anyone tried other top mounts? Is the ETS intercooler bar and plate?
I am also contemplating on picking up 19" TSW's, once I have PM's we can discuss. Thinking those 19" weigh even less than the 18" and look better, so why not?:thumbsup: Either way I go, they will be wrapped in DWS rubber.
Don't plan on any suspension mods, but will replace the pads with Ceramic when it comes time.
I will get some base 1/4 mi times in the Spring, then go back flashed. Dyno runs will be in there somewhere too.
