I placed a deposit for a TLX Tech last week. The car color exterior/interior wasn't in stock. I also asked for a car built after late October to get a cross traffic that was audible. The salesperson said they would contact other Acura dealers in BC (there are 5 others). He said someone at his dealership would have to physically catch a ferry (I live on an Island) and bring back the car if one can be found.
Would someone who might be in the industry explain the process of dealers trading or purchasing cars from other dealers.
I noticed one of the other dealers new car inventory has two that match the color/model. No idea when they were built. Is it possible that a dealer won't trade and my choice will have to be ordered from the factory.
