I had new pads and rotors installled on my TL Type S about 3 weeks ago and since then I have noticed when I come to a complete stop the brakes feel like they are grabbing harder than they should. It almost feels like I lurch to a stop and I can hear and feel the brakes grab. It sounds and feels like the front brakes. Didn't notice the issue before the new brakes and rotors were installed. I don't have any other issues with the brakes as far as noise or shaking when stopping.

4G cold start at season change

It is so weird. I posted the tread about 4G cold start heistation last year around June. I used top tier fuel and used Lucas something to clean up maybe carbon. but they did not work. I ended up with changing to WIX filter, then all the hesitation just gone.
Now It CAME BACK at last week. I replaced the filter again. but this time it did not work. the cold start hesitation stays. I feel like it happens only when the season is changing. the temperature varies between day and night.
I doubt that maybe the sensor telling the ECU the temperature can not read the correct data in the morning at this changing season? it is so weird, last year, after changing the filter, it did not happen until now, even in the coldest NH winter.
1. Does 4G have Intake Air Temperature sensor? or it is integrated in the Mass air flow sensor?
2. I took out the MAF, it looks clean and good.
3. I do not have idle problem, smooth when car is idle.
Do you gays have any idea?

How hard is it to put j37 into 3gen 07 TL type s
My engine has close to 200 k miles and the head has been tapped... Just looking to replace the engine but just wanted to know how hard would it be to put a j37 instead of the j35 it comes with?

My CLS came with Motegi wheels, but the bolts on them are "different" from typical lug nuts. I asked my bro and he's never seen them before either. So I posted these pics on here looking for any advice on how to take them off, thanks.![]()

Ear-splitting screech (I'm talking LOUD) from newly replaced front brakes
Hello all,
About a month and a half ago, I replaced the OEM front pads and rotors on my 08 Type S with genuine Brembo ceramic pads and Reactive One rotors from Napa. I thought the two would be a good combo, but they've turned out to be the opposite.
Whenever the brakes are applied at medium to low speeds, they emit the most god-awful screeching sound. It is so loud that it literally hurts my ears with the windows open. My neighbors and friends can now tell whenever I'm anywhere around because they can hear the screeching from a mile away. I constantly get embarrassing stares from bystanders and fellow drivers in traffic. I took the car back to the shop to have them inspect the pads for bad and rotors for bad spots, but they found nothing. They insist that they applied the anti-squeal paste as well.
In terms of friction, everything stops just fine. I figured I'd wait a little until the pads and rotors break in, but the noise has only gotten worse.
I bought the pads from CarID.com, and the rotors from Napa. I work for Napa corporate, so it will be very easy to obtain a refund on the rotors; it will certainly be harder to make a case for a refund on the pads.
Can an expert here give me some advice? Is this simply a bad rotor/brake combo? Should I replace the Napa rotors with OEM's from Delray, or should I scrap the Brembo pads and buy Akebono's from Napa?

Battery
2016 RDX Advanced
After 15 months of ownership the battery went dead. Good news it was fully covered under warranty. There was no prior warning battery was defective. For convenience I elected to replace the battery myself. Before disconnecting terminals my voltmeter read 8.5 volts. So although the battery was not totally dead nothing worked at all including door locks. I had to the key stored in the key pod to open the car door. I pulled the battery the night before and went to the dealership the next day. Because I didn't have the car with me I had to buy the battery outright from the parts department and later that day when I returned with the car I was refunded the full amount. I was told if the dealer installed the battery there would be a charge but since i did the work this did not apply. I was also concerned since the car sat for over 12 hours with no battery at all that I would lose access to the radio, Navigation and Sirius. To my surprise when I installed the new battery a message came up on the radio that said to depress the on button for two seconds and let the card run for ten minutes to automatically reconnect the radio and navigation systems. After doing this everything reset to what it was before the battery died. The preset radio stations were restored, Nav, Sirius, one touch window and sunroof opening, all returned. Also the maintenance reminders were also restored as before. The only thing that did not restore was the trip reminder settings.

VSA, ShAWD, CMBS, ACC lights on
I bought this Acura RL 2012 model about 3 years ago. The VSA, ShAWD, CMBS, ACC lights come on frequently and there are instances when I drove the car for over 4 hours without any of the lights coming on.
A recent scan came up with the following error messages
1. U0104: Lost communication with Adaptive Cruise Control System (ACC) control module
2. B2135 A/T reverse signal error
3. B2137 Right AFS gearbox motor signal error.
In spite of all these, the car still runs smoothly.
Does anyone have any clue how to rectify these faults display.

Honda CR-V mileage inconsistency report on Autocheck
I am thinking of buying a used Honda CR-V and Autocheck shows a huge mileage inconsistency: on 04/20/2012 it shows 36,351; then on 06/25/2012 it shows 360,000!! Both of these were entered in Cortlandt Manor DMV in NY. The next reading is on 04/08/2016--it shows 97,824.
There is no mileage entry in Carfax neither for 04/20/2012 nor for 06/25/2012. It simply states for 04/20/2012: "Title issued or updated. New owner reported". And for 06/25/2012 it states:"Title issued or updated. Loan or lien reported".
Should I be worried?

Nitto Motivo PSI?
Just got Nitto Motivo installed, front set at 35 and rear set at 37. Ride is smooth and comfortable, grib is excellant so far from only 75miles on them, But looking at front tires it looks under deflated at 35psi. Anyone having same issue with their Motivo on 2nd Gen TSX?

2016 ILX - How many miles in a full tank of gas!?
Unfortunately, I am only getting approx. 225 miles with a full tank of gas. Mon - Fri I drive approx 10 miles round trip for work and on the weekend i usually drive from I.E. to L.A. to visit friends and family.
I think the mon - fri side street, stop and go (35-50 mph streets, but it gets congested) to work is really killing my MPG!
Should i be getting more miles per tank / mpg !?

Clutchmaster fx250 Aasco flywheel
anyone have problem with the installation cause my mechanic said he bolt on the flywheel n clutch n it fit perfectly but can't seem to get it in gear when the car is on but when the car is off it goes into gear

hello I just recently purchased a 2010 sh awd. Love the car and eager to start modding. I've been reading posts throughout the website about what mods are beneficial to our cars and what are not. I've noticed that there are only a couple cat backs available, but have a question about the endless exhaust. I've noticed it's not that popular, is it because it's relatively new or is not a pristine brand? But besides that I've decided like many others a jpipe, hfpc, and a catback will be my first mods. Front Strut Brace 5G TLX, 9G Accord compare
Guys, I am doing a bit of research. I work for Ultra Racing USA, the Malaysia chassis brace company.

Clunking sound when turning
Hi All,
I recently changed my tires to my summer tires and since i have been hearing a clunking sound from the front end when turning. Typically i only hear the sound when it is a sharp turn or going around a roundabout. Almost sounds like something could be rubbing against each other. Alignment is fine - car drives smooth going straight and the steering wheel hardly budges when going over speed bumps or pot holes.
Any idea what it could be? If so would it be covered under warranty?

Brake pin bolt seized
Hey all. Doing the brakes and found one of the two pin bolts that goes into the rear of the caliper is completely seized up. Looks like, after peeling off the rubber boot, the thing is rusted. I've tried using a chisel and knocking it back out of the hole with a hammer. If I somehow get it to come out, is it better to just replace that caliper than to grease the hole and put a new pin bolt in? Looks like the rubber boot is crammed into the hole so I may not be lucky enough to get it free. I worked on it for literally 2 hours last night and no movement. Might put some heat on it. Trying to avoid paying for another caliper, but I'll do what's necessary, obviously. REALLY glad I have my old '91 Integra for times like this.
Also, just in case it comes to this, I found one on ebay (right rear assembly) here: Acura TL 04-08, Rear Right/Passanger, Brake Caliper, 43018-SEP-A00, Factory OEM | eBay
What's odd is that the part number from Acura parts online has this as 43018-SEP-A51 but the ebay part is 43018-SEP-A00. I'm guessing this is just because it also comes with the piston whereas the A51 is just the outer piece?
Also, just in case it comes to this, I found one on ebay (right rear assembly) here: Acura TL 04-08, Rear Right/Passanger, Brake Caliper, 43018-SEP-A00, Factory OEM | eBay

Power Steering leak?
I found a leak on a 2002 Acura TL, if your facing the front of the car there is a leak i believe is the is in the location of the gearbox and valve body unit but i am uncertain. Not sure what this is or called, I need help identifying this. Power steering res was a little low, the leak was right underneath list location and it was a nice size puddle.
Could it just be the hoses going into that have a problem or is there a seal inside that thing? I attached some pictures to what i am talking about.
I would appreciate any help, this is my daughters car so i would like to fix asap but need some information.
