Hopefully I put this spiel in the right place and that it makes sense. Before I ask the questions and receive some hate, I want to say that I like everything Acura puts out. I own a 02 RL, a 04 TL, and a 14 MDX. My questions are broad but puzzling to me at least. Why is it that every MDX generation has been a commercial success, but some of Acura's other models have been considered forgettable? Is every model designed by different people? Take the third generation TL for example. It is still fantastic and was a commercial success, but the fourth was not considered as strong. Everyone has an opinion, but it seems that the MDX generations have all been well rounded like the third generation TL. Does Acura put all of their eggs in one basket? Why can Acura not obtain that well rounded bit with other models?
