My car was in for service at the dealer and they advised me the driver's front CV boot is leaking and they suggested it be fixed before my axle failed...
the cost for the part/labor is $415.
I have an extended warranty and they advised that the repair WAS covered under my Acuracare warranty... so of course I am ok with having it fixed..but I was just curious if this is a legit issue with the car, a needed repair, or some kind of BS to just make money.
every time I go in for service I swear they try to upsell me crap. I am likely going ot quit going to the dealer as while I do enjoy the loaner service they provide, I'm tired of starting to feel lke they are dishonest or making crap up to make money...
my 2007 MDX has about 85,000 miles on it.
is this a normal wear/tear item at this point? if I was NOT under warranty, is this something you would absolutely fix, ignore, etc?
