Hey guys this took me all day i had to run to the store twice, i will post some pics i took with my phone tomorrow so you can see the install.
Am doing a full alpine type R system in the car
Front - Alpine SPR 60c
Rear shelf - Alpine SPR 60
Sub - Alpine type R 10" dual 4 ohm will be wired to 2 ohms (1000 watts rms)
Amps
Alpine PDX F4
Alpine MRX-M100
Audiocontrol LC8
later i will add a third amp for the rear doors and center channel.
I installed the speakers in the fronts and rear shelf today, followed the DIY on the site, i had to destroy all my stock speakers to use the brackets to fit the type r's. I did not remove the a pillar to install the tweeters i simply pulled the rubber door seal, pull the trim and popped the tweeter out and replaced them. I added dynamat on the door skins and rear shelf.
This took me all day to do because i took my time not to break anything
The amps and sub was not installed i only installed the speakers and the dynamat, i removed the stock sub from the shelf and left it open.
Now the Problem
I tested the speakers before i put all the panels and seat back together it sounded great, now after it's all reinstalled am getting a altenator noise coming through my tweeters.:scream:
No amps were installed all i changed was the speakers, any idea what is causing this?
I disconnected the battery and pulled the air bag fuse before i started.
I will post some pictures tomorrow to show the install.
