Hi All,
I bought off lease 2010 Acura TL in SEP 2013 with 64k , I hardly drive in 2013 & 2014 approx. 10k mostly weekend drive and few long trip no more than 200km. Since Jan 2015 I start using my car for daily commute. 2015 winter was one of the worst in last 10 years extreme cold -15 to -20 through-out Jan to March. during winter morning (specially Temp. below -15 or more ) when I shift from revers to driver I feel jerk like manual transmission, takes 1 to 2 sec to engage drive and it jerk no matter how hard I hold on brakes. Sometime also feel my car shake when downshift or upshift between gears 2-4 but that’s very rear not all the time (once or twice in 20km slow drive). Now in summer time I don’t feel that heavy jerk in morning but feel bit of jerk I don’t know it’s normal or not? I never had this feeling with my old 2006 TL I know every car drive different regardless of make and model.
Yesterday I went to “Acura North” to have them check, but before they start any diagnostics rep told me that they don’t have any service records of my car since it’s from different dealership you may want to check with them (Acura 2000). Acura 2000 asks for $125 for diagnostics since my car is out of warranty but still has power train warranty expiring on 26 Jun 2015.
Questions.
Is it worth to pay $125 for just diagnostics or I can change transmission fluid in that price and problem will resolve?
Is there any transmission recall on 2010 TL?

Is it possible to do transmission check with ODBC reader?
