Just wanted to say thanks to TEXASHONDA for his older post on the 94-97 Accord Speed Sensor working in the TL.
Saved some big coin on the repair.
The sensor from Acura lists for $180. I got one off Amazon for $12.10 with shipping (made in China though).
Amazon.com: 94-97 HONDA ACCORD VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR, (VSS) (1994 94 1995 95 1996 96 1997 97) H313302 78410SV4003: Automotive
It is very easy to swap out the housings.
My D4 and Engine lights came on the other day and brought up the code for VSS. The system reset itself and the D4 light stopped flashing, but thought I it was prudent to replace the VSS anyways.
Noted that the car shifts smoother and my speed does not drop when I set the cruise anymore. My wife noted (but didn't tell me) that the tach and speedo were acting up from time to time.
