Purchased used 2014 RLX Krell with 10,000 miles on it. I've driven about 500 miles so far. My thoughts:
- Not as speedy as my 2003 TL-S.
- Bass on Krell system is not as "boomy" as my stock radio on 2003 TL-S
- I can't figure out how to disable the annoying voice prompts ... I know what track I'm listening to and dont need to be notified on what I'm listening to or the menus I'm browsing.
- I'm often blinded by the glare from the wood panels near the gear shift.
- I decided I don't like the paddle shifters. I much would rather prefer the manual stick as my TL-S as I drive with left hand at 12 o-clock and my right arm on the arm rest with hand on the gear shift.
- why cant both side mirrors fold down when in reverse? Its either left or right depending on the mirror select switch.
- kind of surprised at the bumpy ride. I'm used to the bumpy ride in my TL and it feels about the same.
- So much crap shows up on the Navi (gas stations, restaurants, hotels, atms, etc). it becomes very cluttered. I may stick with google maps on my phone.
- I love the roomy interior and the rear sunshades
- I love that I've only seen one other RLX in Austin
- I like the technology the 2003 TL was lacking: rear camera, bluetooth, blind spot, etc
At my age, it's a much more appropriate car for a professional. I felt like people would laugh at me in my lowered and aggressive TL. I laugh at men going thru obvious mid-life crises and pledge to never be one of those men.
Overall, I like the car and glad I purchased it.
