RL lover but what's next...anyone tried Accord plug-in?`

Gents there comes a time in every loving relationship with a car that you realize it's not going to last forever, and while I love my 2008 RL and everything about it, she's kinda like the Demi Moore of cars right now...still really hot for her age, but....

Has anyone tried the Accord Plug-In? Holding ASIDE the issue of the fact that it's a plug-in/hybrid (with all the known differences such as horsepower and AWD...I'm just randy for an electric; Prius too small, Tesla too 'spensive) , my question is this: would it feel like a step down in terms of fit & finish, and technology? Things about the RL I love are the stereo, the interior, etc. I wonder if a brand new Plug-In Accord would rival my 2008 RL, on the basis that cars are constantly getting nicer, and manufactures generally move the models up the product suite (e.g., the idea that "today's Lincoln is tomorrow's Ford")

My biggest concern about the Accord was going to be a physical size downgrade, but it looks like (side-by-side comparison) on Edmunds that the 08 RL and '15 Accord are about the same size, and surprisingly the Accord has more front shoulder room. So that's not an issue.

So, has anyone out there who's a fan of the RL tried the Accord Hybrid? I'm just looking for a subjective review...does the accord feel "cheap" compared to the RL?

Any thoughts appreciated. I will update this post with my own thoughts when I test-drive the Plug-in....they are hard to come by so I'm looking for one that's close.

Best to all..
