While we just keep getting shot down by Acura, model after model as it seems, you would expect it to tapper off at some point and for things to come back around for us and them, especially since they just got a hefty 2 Billion from Honda. Nooope.
2014 Acura MDX DOES not have Dual Exhaust. Like the ILX, it will have a one exit-only hidden exhaust.
That's what I can tell so far. A combination of pictures from not-so great angles show one muffler on the right side and nothing on the left where one is to expect on to be. While I'm sure that's not going to affect sales, it sure as h3ll bothers me! Why? Oh I don't know.. Something about symmetry and my OCD.
Now I could be wrong. I don't have 20/20 vision but I can see through a car's camo with ease(body lines and creaes). Tell me what you think/ see.
Look at the reflection off the wet tarmac in this photo. Only one exhaust pip going to the right side on the rear.

I find this all odd, as the RLX and RDX both have Dual exhaust, but hidden tips. I wonder if anyone will take a RDX rear exhaust system and try to put it on the MDX? Fabrication will most likely be needed, but I say its do ale. I'd actually like to try it myself. While at it, remove the reflectors, treat surrounding area with heat treatment material/ fire retardants and re-rout the exhuast exits to them. Same goes for the RLX (though the positioning of the reflectors and their shape will make it look awkward.. oh well) and people have already taken up on my idea for cutting a hole in the bumper for their exhausts.
Can't wait to start seeing people getting these and modding them some here and there. :tomato:
