06' TL Failure to accelerate?

Hey guys/gals. So I just bought my Acura TL yesterday and was in love with it after a few test drives. I finally leave the dealer drive not 7 miles, and the car seems to lose all acceleration. Im confused I pull over think maybe I hit something, nothing.. I start up the car again, it drives again and not 15 seconds later the accelerator stop accelerating. It then randomly tries to kick in and kicks off in the same instant and the cars feels like is jerking a bit. There is no weird noises from the engine, was quiet and purring like a kitten.. I tried a third time and i didnt make in 10 seconds before calling it quits. The car has since been towed, and back at the dealership, and will be in the shop today to see what the problem is. I did notice my Engine light come on after it happened and VSA briefly.

Any ideas? I read maybe its a Timing belt, or maybe its a Sensor.. I have no idea about any of this stuff. Is this a common problem with Acuras?
