As much as I would like to upgrade to the TLX, there is one aspect of it that is holding me back- my local Acura dealer.
I own an 06 TL (which I'm happy with), but I had nothing but bad experiences with my local Acura dealer/service center. I will spare you the details, but every time I used them for service, I came out regretting it. Even when I was shopping for my TL back in 2009, their used car lot blew me off.
There is a very good Acura dealership, about 70 miles away, which by the way came recommended on this forum, and which I used for repairs a few times- never a problem. As a matter of fact they went over and beyond to do right by me.
If I upgrade to the TLX, I would prefer to give those guys the business, but then I will pretty much have to rely on them for service as well, because I don't feel comfortable with the local guys anymore. Is it worth it to stick with Acura and suffer through multiple hours of commute, missed work hours and rental cars every time I need service, or should I consider going with another brand based on the reputation of local dealers?
