Clutch Replacement gone wrong PLEASE HELP

I replaced my pressure plate and clutch disc, w/ resurfaced flywheel. Now I cant disengage the clutch. I've ruled out the obvious issues like Slave and Master Cylinder, clutch line, bled fluid, release fork, release bearing etc.

My only theory is that I followed bad advice on this forum. I put my new pressure plate on the press and adjusted the self-adjusting mechanism. The forum claims the pressure plate (mine's from LUK) can be jarred out of adjustment during shipping. So to be sure, I adjusted mine all the way towards counter clockwise, which is supposedly the "new clutch" position. The factory setting was a few mm less than that, so I didn't move it very far. Could this have been enough to make the pressure plate too difficult to compress?

Oh, my pressure plate (or something else in my bell housing) also made a horrible metal on metal whine when I first started the car. This may have been the sound of my pressure plate getting damaged due to a bad adjustment?

I didn't closely follow the proper bolt pattern when I tightened on my pressure plate either. Fatal mistake?

Something has gone horribly wrong. I hope someone knows about these pressure plate thingies. Please help. Thanks!
