Finally received my TLX Tech I4 today, BWP/Espresso :-) Coming from an '04 TL I was looking forward to the new tech on the TLX and it didn't disappoint. I'll need to spend a few days trying to figure out how it all works!
Here's a quick review after only a day of driving. I always like writing down initial impressions.

Those were my initial observations on delivery. Hopefully, I'll have more to add in the coming weeks of further driving.

- Interior fit and finish is very nice as expected from Acura.
- Cabin is extremely quiet. Road noise is barely audible.
- Ride quality. Even on post winter cracked roads, I found the TLX ride to be fantastic.
- Remote starter is awesome especially with the confirmation indicators on the remote itself
- Jewel LED headlights are bright and provide great coverage. Even better than the HIDs on the 3G

- Unfortunately, I experienced the dreaded transmission issue of a harsh downshift when coming to a stop, as mentioned by many here. It seems to happen prominently while in Sport mode but is rare in Econ. Going to continue monitoring and testing this over the next few days. This is disappointing. I had hoped the initial bugs would have been worked out by now. The build date for my vehicle is 02/2015 according to the door sticker. Guess they still have a ways to go.
- Seat heater controls are only available via the touch screen
- No spare tire. Asking customers to purchase this is unacceptable on a car of this class. I've experienced shredded tires before which would render the fill kit useless.
- Quality of audio was better on the 3G than the TLX. Even after playing with the tone controls, I found the speakers sounded too high and didn't have enough bass or low frequency response.
