Was ready to lease a new MDX in July 2013 but....

Thought I would rant a bit and see if anyone else had found the same issue.

I was pumped for the new MDX as I have always loved the MDX. When I got my TL-S serviced at the dealer I always took a loaner MDX because it was super comfortable and fun to drive.

In July 2013 my wife needed to get rid of her car and get an SUV for work. The dealership had just recently got in the new MDX.

So I climbed in the MDX Elite that was on the showroom floor. And I proceeded to put the driver seat all the way back (as I have to in most cars as I am 6'-1"). It then stopped. My knees were really bent and hitting the centre console. I then tried fiddling around with the seat settings and could not get it to move back any further. Having driven the 2nd Gen MDX many times I never had ANY issues with leg room as the driver.

In the end I had to pass on the MDX because I couldn't fit comfortably in it. Ironically, we got a 14 RDX, which I fit comfortably in?????? :screwy:

The ONLY thing I can think of as the reason why there is less room is because of the new 2nd row sliding seat feature, so that, even when the driver seat is all the way back the seat will still fold and go forward.

Has anyone else found that the new MDX is smaller for the driver seat?
