Rocker Panel / Skirt Rust

So I cleaned and detailed the car today, and noticed that there's rust behind the rocker panels (rain channels) right behind driver and passenger front wheel wells. It's enough decomposition that I can push the rocker panel a few mm's with a slight push. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas to slow down the rust so the corner of the rocker panel doesn't fall off?

Griot's Garage DA + Meguiars DA Microfiber Polishing Kit 5". Got about 50% of my paint defects out.
Klasse AIO and SG to top off.
