Help tuning Alpine amp and PAC line out converter

Hey guys i need your input on how to properly tune my amp and LOC to make sure the amp is at the correct gain.

I drive a 07 TL Type-s. I recently installed a JL Audio 12W7 sub in a ProWedge sealed box powered by an Alpine PDX-M12 (1200w RMS) and a Tsunami 10 farad capacitor. I am pretty knowledgeable with car audio and i have installed many systems before but I am a bit of a noob when it comes to properly tuning an amplifier when you use an LOC.

I unplugged the speaker wires going to the subwoofer and i installed a PAC LP-7 line out converter to send a signal to the amplifier. I turned everything on and the sub works and sounds decent but im sure once i do a bit more tuning, it will sound like it should. Currently the sound system is completely stock, with the navi.

My questions are:

1: Where should i set the gain on the LOC to and where should i set the gain on of the amplifier? I want to tune the amplifier using a digital multimeter and i understand i need a 50hz tone on a CD to play at 3/4 of the volume and set the gain on the amp to a specific voltage (in my case, around 55 volts, according to my calculations). Currently i have the LOC gain set to max and almost to minimum on the amp itself.
2: In order to tune the amp with the DMM and the 50hz tone, i need to disconnect the other speakers and just send signal to the subwoofer but how can i do that on a stock stereo system?
3: I noticed my amplifier has 2 voltage options next to the gain knob. One option is 0.1-1 volts and the other is 1-8 volts. Which one should i set it at? (i noticed the sub being much louder and responds more to gain adjustments when set on the 0.1-1 option, the other option just makes it really quiet.
4: The amplifier also has a subsonic filter switch (OFF, 15 or 30). Do i need to turn this on? From my understanding this is used when the sub is in a ported enclosure.
5: Finally, i set the LPF on the amp to 80hz. Is that ok?

Thanks for your input and sorry for the novel, i just wanted to give as much info as possible. Thanks!
