I have a 2003 MDX Touring. The battery has died a few times recently, and occasionally the running lights will stay on when they shouldn't be, and I recently put it together that these things are related.
Tonight after I got home I explicitly turned off the lights (rather than leaving it in Auto-mode as I usually do). All lights were off and it seemed fine. Later on I came out and opened some doors and the rear hatch to unload some stuff. After I was done, the front narrow orange running lights were on as well as the rear running lights (basically the brake lights but dimmer). Also the license plate light and the front dash is still illuminated.
Keys are out and headlight control is turned to OFF. I've tried all combinations of restarting the car, turning lights on and off, and still these lights stay on.
I can disconnect the battery for tonight, but what else can I try? Is there a specific fuse for this circuit? What might be causing the intermittent problem?
