I have a 2005 Acura MDX and the VSA and /!\ lights have been on since 2011. Went to dealer in 2011 and was told it needed a new modulator ($1600) but did not affect how the car drove, so I didn't fix. Now, there's a recall for the VSA but according to Acura, the fix only calls for adding a wire subharness. That was done and VSA light and /!\ still on. The dealer checked the codes again and the code is 64-1 "Supply Voltage Failure" and calls for a new modulator. Is it possible that the recall issue could have something to do with/have caused the supply voltage failure??? Does not make sense to me that there is an issue with the wiring for the VSA, but the supply voltage failure has nothing to do with that issue. Is there any other reason for the 64-1 code that may not require a new modulator?
