I encountered this problem a year ago but recently with temperatures dropping to -10 C to -20 C, it is occurring at least once a week.
The only time I have blinking "D" and CEL is when I shift from P to R and then R to D or P. It never happens while I drive the car. There is no slippage and car shifts normal. In fact, When I shut off my car and restart, the blinking D stops but CEL remains on and goes away after a day or two. It seems like the Reverse gear is causing the whole issue.
I looked into it and read up about changing "transmission range switch" and changing 3rd and 4th gear switch. My question is , does 07 TL have the same procedure as the previous ones (04-06 TL)? like the one in the following link:
http://acurazine.com/forums/third-ge...switch-892223/
So far, everywhere I looked the part number is for 04-06 TL.
For now I will bring it in to a shop to plug in OBDII scanner and see what codes come up.
Did anyone have any similar experience and what was the course of action taken?
