Hello all.
Recently driving my 2006 RL tech at night on a local highway. Very dark with limited visibility. Road work had apparently been done that day ...with no warning what so ever. Apparently the pavement was cut and removed to repave the next day I assume. Here is the problem, the way they stripped the road left an enormous gap and when I hit it at some 40-45 MPH the impact was ENORMOUS. Ever since that evening the car's steering seems to miss in a very small area of my turn (if that makes any sense what so ever) and the car rattles and almost growls deeply as I ride the brake to a full stop. Once the brake is completely pushed in the rattle seems to stop. If you lay of the brake the slightest bit it makes the noise again. What the heck is it?? loose caliper? some kind of engine mount issue?? please help....I must say I have used this wonderful site for years, taking out more than I could ever put in. This site saved me THOUSANDS over the years. FYI the rattle seems to resonate from left wheel well/steering column area..Thanks for your help!
One time a rattle in the rear passenger area was so bad and annoying I would not drive the car....acura wanted 400 bucks to analyze...i searched this site and found the answer and it was so simple....the bolt at the top of rear strut was not tight and rattled like craze....two turns of that screw and it was off to the race!!! Please help Acurazine
