I've changed the intake cam on my Euro CL9 with a 06 TSX intake cam. (the car has an ECU reflash).
After install we noticed the idle is staying round 850 rpm, as you drive the car the idle is in this zone: 800-900 rpm
Before installing the cam the idle was stable, 650-700 rpm .
The cam has been installed at a Honda dealer.
After doing idle relearn, the idle dropped to 650-700 rpm but as start driving the car, later the idle will move to the 800-900 rpm range, sometimes it stays in the 650-700 rpm but most of the time in the 800-900 rpm.
Comparing the OEM intake cams (04 CL9 vs 06 TSX CL9) only the VTEC lobes are different and the primary/secondary lobes are the same, so the cam itself should not influence the idle at all.
I did several idle relearns and every-time after the idles drops to the correct zone 650-700rpm but later (after you drive the car for a while) it will shift in the 800-900 rpm zone.
Does anyone know where the issue might be ?
