K/N Cabin Air Filter, any users?

I usually use FRAM CF10134 Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filter at $16 a pop each spring. I put 18,000-20,000 per year on the MDX and it is mostly sandy/dusty in the southwest with heavy pollen in spring. I wanted to know if anyone tried out the K&N VF2001 reuseable Cabin Air Filter for about $40. Since I replace every spring, it would pay for itself in about 2-3 years (usually keep my cars for +6 yrs).

Mainly concerned about how well it fits in cabin filter tray and any issues with the filter (ease of cleaning, how well it works compared to the cheaper paper ones, strange smells after a while, etc...).
