Today I was coming out of walmart and saw an X6 owner taking a look at my RL.
As I approached my car, the gentleman around my age, 34, asked me if the Acura was mine? I responded with a "yes". He thought the car was a the new TL, I told him it was a the older Acura 2011 flagship. I asked what year his X6, he replied told me it was 2011. He asked how much I paid for the car, of course I told him 55k(despite the fact I bought it used for 35k).:toocool: I asked how much he paid for his X6, he told me 66k, needless to say he was dumbfounded. He told me, he hated the fact that lower end cars, costing half of his have more features. For example, he got 'nickled' and 'dimed', for a rear-cam, backup sensors and power folding mirrors. He told me he doesn't even have cooled seats, or real wood, nor the sunshades that my car has. He asked to elaborate on some of the RLs features. I told him the equipment my RL has for 56k, real leather, real wood, sunshades, power folding rear headrests, sunshades, cooled seats, power folding mirrors, ACC, CMBS, AFS, auto-leveling headlights, and ANC. He told my RL has so many features he can't remember them all. He said, what a value for 56k. I told him, it's all in the brand. He replied, saying most of the people he knows, are all about the brand. Say, if someone has 60k to spend, its between a Benz, BMW, or Range. People just don't even consider Acuras. He felt ripped-off after hearing what his X6 didn't have. He said at least it was lease. :annoyed: Nevertheless, the X6 owner loved the RL, mainly the features, exterior, and he really seemed to be digging the simplistic elegance and luxury of the interior. But I must say, I was digging the X6's exterior design; ZDX looks better though.
