I remember when I first got my car (I bought it new in 2003), the salesperson and the service manager told me that the ECU adjusted for driving style...
That depending on how aggressive or passive I drove in the first few hundred/thousand miles, that the transmission shift points would adjust to your driving style... And that you can also "reset" the learning of the ECU by disconnecting the battery, and have it "relearn"...
Haven't really given it much thought, but for some reason, the conversation came to mind today and thought I'd ask this community for confirmation on whether this is true, or urban myth...
