After much excitement to get these coils back on my car the rear driver side is making a clunking noise when I go over bumps on the road. Spoke to f&f earlier yesterday 10/24. Rep advice that the shock can possibly be blown. After searching and reading a few threads seems like f&f1 aren't to go but everyone is entitled to their opinions. Never had a problem with them when I had a set on my 96 civic.
I've also read that the top center nut could be loose and just need to be tighten. F&f rep said I can always take the entire strut to them and they can see if indeed the shock is blown. $75 to replace it and I be on my way. Getting a new set of coils and different brand is outa the question for me.
Any ideas or fixes I can do on my end before I start coughing up cash?
Thanks!
