My 4G was in service for 3 days. Had an opportunity to put 200+ miles on a 6 cyl fwd. Here are my observations...
PROS
* Quieter interior
* LDW System override button
* Auto dimming side mirrors
* Improved MPGs
CONS
* Touch screen display... Shows smudgey finger prints and looks cheap
* Heated seats... Have to go through too many layers on screen and take eyes off of the road. Would prefer toggle type switch like my current TL.
* Exposed cup holders
* Transmission shifts abruptly... Can't seem to find right gear in city driving
* LDW System
* Lack of center shifter... May be trendy but don't care for the button stuff.
* No shroud around engine under the hood.
* Lack of exposed exhaust outlets.
Just my opinion. I'm sure the TLX will sell well but it didn't make me want to trade my '14 TL in anytime soon.
