Photos vs the real thing

I have found that most cars fit into one of two categories: Either the car looks better in person than photos show, or photos make the car look better than it really is. After about 1-1/2 months of ownership now, I definitely say the TLX is the former. It looks really sharp in person, and most photos I take don’t do it justice. I’ve taken quite a few photos of my new ride since purchase, and only a handful compare to what it looks like to me every time I open the garage door. So if you’re considering one, and the conservative looks are holding you back, my opinion would be spend more time around the real thing. Yes it’s a little conservative, but overall it really does look great in person.

Secondarily, the wheels on the 2.4L are getting quite a bit of stick. Although I’d like to see them a size larger, these also look much better in person and I think there is a reason for this. The inner parts of the wheel are black, and completely disappear in virtually any photo. In person, even though they are black, you can still see these parts of the wheel clearly and it adds more structure and substance to the wheel. There is also a decent amount of depth to the wheel in person. Call me crazy, and many on this site might, but I actually like the 2.4L wheel and am glad I didn’t upgrade despite a lot of thought to do so.

Of course a thread about photos and looks obligates me yo post some...so here is my new tlx. Couldn't be happier so far.
