Hello All!
I've been a member here for a few months and I figured it was about time that I made a formal introduction thread. I don't have anything super interesting or special to show you guys but I'm excited to finally own a nice car that I can have some pride in.
My first car way back in high school was a 1994 Ford Taurus station wagon that my dad got from a family friend for about $800 and I drove that for nearly 3 years until my freshman year of college. It didn't exactly drop panties  Shortly after I started my freshman year I bought myself a 1997 Honda Civic EX 2-door with a 5mt transmission with around 117,000 miles on it. The civic was very good to me and I took her all the way up to 210,000 miles by the end of my senior year. I graduated in December and immediately landed a full time job with the company I was doing an internship with for my last 2 semesters. By the time I started working full time the civic was starting to show signs of it's age and it wasn't appreciating being driven 100 miles or more per day. Just about every weekend I would have to drive it to my parents house where all the tools are, and spend my Saturday fixing something to make sure it ran for the next week.
Fast forward a few months later I had enough money to start shopping for a car. The first car I started looking at was an Evo X but after doing some research into them I sadly figured out that I couldn't quite afford the combination of insurance, gas, and potential breakdowns/accidents. I searched for a few weeks for something that would fit my needs/wants, and randomly decided to look at Acura TL's since I know my dad loves his 05 6mt TL. On the first day I started looking into the TL's I came across Acurazine's photograph section and I was hooked. I spend weeks on here looking through build logs and reading through pages and pages of threads and finally decided that I wanted a 07-08 TL-S with a 6mt.
It only took me a week of searching the classifieds to come across the beauty that now sits in my driveway. My dad drove me in his TL all the way from Akron, Ohio to Hartford, Connecticut to see and test drive the car. The car was damn near flawless with only 28,000 miles on the odometer and very well kept. Needless to say, I drove her home that day.
So far life with the TL has been awesome. The car came with the ASPEC kit already on it, and all I have done so far to it is the air box resonator delete. It is a million years ahead of the civic, and while I know it's far from the best car on the road today, I absolutely love it. The only bad thing is that I feel guilty for putting mileage on it so quickly (the odo now reads 38,500 miles :annoyed:).
That's enough of my life story! Here's a few pics. (Forgive me if they turned out crappy, I had to use my S3).
