Never thought I'd find myself making a post like this...but here it is:
The good news is no bodily injuries and it wasn't my fault. Just a little sore and obviously majorly bummed out. She was a great car :(
My concerns now are whether or not my insurance company "totals" the car. I can't stand the thought of them trying to repair this back to new condition and all the complexities of this car just reeks of on-going issues that may linger, not to mention the immediate depreciation it's already taken. The pictures don't do the damage justice. While the engine started, the car would not move, so clearly some suspension damage took place. It was a full front-end collision (T-bone) with the other driving pulling out in front of me from a parking lot and hit them dead on at probably around 25-30mph. There was traffic in the right lane and I was clear on the left, and they just appeared out of nowhere with not enough time for me to stop.
I'll know more next week when the adjusters make it out. Right now she's just sitting in a tow lot somewhere...:(
